It's not development and social action per se, but I do think the fact that MIT offers almost their entire undergraduate and graduate curriculum course materials online for free is quite cool. Sure you can’t earn a degree, but if you are curious finding out more on a variety of topics, including human rights and economic development this is a great way to start. http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/web/home/home/index.htm


Another useful website is the Small Business Administration (SBA) which is a US Government agency that provides support to small businesses. In addition to providing lots of data, they have free online training in areas such as “Business Management” “Financing & Accounting” “Business Planning” “E-Commerce” and more.
