A while back (seven years ago, to be precise) South Park had an episode in which Professor Chaos tried to "wreak havoc on South Park," only to discover that all of his plans had already been featured on The Simpsons. I can relate; having started writing some new science fiction stories this week, I've rejected several ideas as being too similar to concepts touched upon by Philip K. Dick, who seems to have said everything first.

I greatly appreciate that, but I have to say that there's really no question about this; when it comes to science fiction, PKD has very few peers.
